THE LEFKAS ROUTE 16 DAYS

Day 1:
Amsterdam-Preveza Arrival Airport Preveza. If you booked transfer then the skipper will pick you up (regognized on his shirt 'SERKO SAILING Zeilvakanties") and bring you to the boat or you can take a taxi you can call 0030-6938851026 for the right place where the boat is moored. Usualy the arrival is late in the afternoon. You will be expected after 17.00 hour for a welkoms drink to toast on a fantastic sailing holiday.

Day 2:
Preveza-Nidri (ca.15 miles) Through the channel of Preveza to sea and then course 180 degrees to the bridge of Lefkas whats very special because it seames that you sail into the beach but if you come nearby you will see the situation.Nidri is a very nice town with many shops and restaurants on the island of Lefkas.

Day 3:
Nidri-Sivota (ca.10 miles) Sivota lies very protected in a small bay surrounded by mountains there are many shops and restaurants it can be very busy in the high seizon so we should not run in very late. Sivota is located on the island of lefkas.

Dag 5:
Sivota-Fiskardo (ca.15 miles) Fiskardo is located on the island Kafalonia and is also very sheltered in a small bay there are many restaurants and shops.

Day 5:
Fiskardo-Kastos (ca.20 miles) This small island is still very greek and only inhabited by some fisherman.

Day 6:
Kastos- Astakos (ca.15 miles) This fishing village is located on the mainland we moor at the kay in front of many restaurantse and there is a nice beach.

Day 7:
Astakos-Groot Vathi (ca.20 miles) Big Vathi is situated in a deep bay on the island Ithaka the island of Homerus Odysseus

Day 8:
Groot Vathi-Ayios Eufemia (ca.15 miles) This place is on the island Kafalonia with a good anchor bay,beach and various shops and restaurants.

Day 9:
Ayios Eufemia-Vasiliki (ca.20 miles) A small port on the island Lefkas well know for his hard katabatic wind in the afternoon the ideal place for windsurfers.There are many shops,restaurants and there is a nice beach.

Day 10:
Vasiliki-Kioni (ca.20 miles) A picturesque town on the island of Ithaka wich is built against the mountain.

Day 11:
Kioni-Poros (ca.20 miles) Poros on the island Kafalonie has a great beach and many restaurants and shops.

Day 12:
Poros-Frikes (ca.20 miles) Frikes a small port with nice restaurants on the island Ithaka.

Day 13:
Frikes-Spartagori (ca.25 miles) Spartagori is located on the island Meganisi here we are on the dock of Panos and Babis restaurant from where we can make a nice walk to the village with a beatyful view over the bay and island Scorpio.

Day 14:
Spartagori-Paleros (ca.10 miles) This port is located on the mainland and is still authentic Greek with a nice beach and many restaurants.

Day 15:
Paleros-Preveza (ca.25 miles) After swimming in the bay of Vathi-Vali we go on our way back again through the channel of Lefkas to Preveza where we can fun shopping and in the evening enjoy the food in a lovely Greek restaurant.

Day 16:
Preveza-Amsterdam Since we now need to clean the boats we must ask you to leave the boat on 09.00 hour so we can prepare the boats for the next week. You can see Preveza by day or rent a car or scooter and visit places around the Amvrakikos lake.
